NEW TEACHER IN PRE-PRIMARY OR PRIMARY EDUCATION - PSYCHOLOGICAL VIEW
Abstract
Multiple authors identify and discuss the factors of decisional influence for the choice of the teaching career; Anne D. Cockburn and Terry Haydn in 2004 [1] show that these factors are: collegiality, friendship, the sense of being supported by management, the resources of the department, the type of school children, the values and ethical conduct of the institution, induction, positive relationship with the director, positive relationship with other colleagues, laptop, computer, salary during summer holidays, an interview with employment, discipline within the institution. In the 1990s, if teachers in technical areas seemed to be concerned about material conditions, classroom management, organization, school management support, and sequence and step-wise formulation, as Mundt [2] the problems do not seem to have changed (at least from an empirical point of view). Edwards and Briers [3] showed that young teachers should be assisted and helped in the early stages of their careers in the following professional directions: facilitating change of curricula and technologies, facilitating a better link between professional roles and personal development, positive and strong social image, support in the development of leadership within the class. Our study focuses on the problematic situations in the debutant's communication with the family and the sources of success or failure. This approach was centered on the perceptual source of educational actors (teachers, parents and students) on each other. Results encourage us to bring into discussion a guide and proposals for in-depth study on the insertion of the debutant teacher into the educational units.
