MANAGING EMPLOYEES' PERFORMANCE IN THE STATE ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

The paper deals with the management of employeesВґ performance in the institutions of the state administration of the Slovak Republic and its comparison with selected OECD countries. The possibilities to enhance the performance of the state administration employees were depicted on the basis of the survey carried out on a sample of 192 respondents of the Financial administration of the Slovak Republic (FASR). In this context, the research question was formulated and its answer may identify current motivation of employees of the Financial administration of the Slovak Republic to increase their performance. The aim of this paper is to provide, based on the comparison and survey, possible solutions to make the performance of the state administration more effective.
