Abstract

In recent decades, the world community is objectively forced to admit - humanity is getting fat. It is not fatiguing in a figurative sense, that is, in terms of access to a variety of goods, services and opportunities, but in the literal sense, that is, in terms of a constant increase in the number and proportion of people suffering from overweight. The terrestrial population expands in its composition the representation of fat people, which due to this circumstance more and more drop out of the society. The total distribution of fat people (both in developed and developing countries) should not be misled and interpreted in line with the well-being of life. Firstly, not always overweight and obesity are associated with excessive consumption of quality food. Secondly, excess kilograms in a certain context lead to the degradation of society, because in conditions of natural selection, complete, inactive, etc. Individuals are less likely to survive, especially in extreme situations, when agility is required. To understand the scale of obesity of the population, certain statistical indicators are required to quantify the object of research and find out what happens to it over time. Speaking about the consequences of obesity of the population, it is necessary to keep in mind that indicators that are oriented to the specificity of the way of life, morbidity and mortality of obese people can also be used here. At the same time, social discomfort should not remain behind the scenes, which may include the difficulties of movement, problems of obtaining education, the difficulty of creating a family, and much more. The paper presents the results of a study on the compilation of a system of statistical indicators that characterize the extent of obesity in the population.
