THE PRACTICAL POTENTIAL OF PHILOSOPHICAL WISDOM
Abstract
My key idea consists in stating that philosophy these days is in need of new orientations based on humanistic potential of philosophical wisdom. I would like to pay attention to the practical value of the philosophical wisdom. In accordance with the methodological approach we need to identify the diverse characteristics of philosophical wisdom to offer the complex definition of this concept. The focus is shifted to the area of cogitative constructions to the sphere of philosophical wisdom. It is especially important to use “situational” determination. A set of heuristic methods of the research authorizing search and decision-making in the conditions of uncertainty is considered. According to anthropocentrism, man as a rational being is placed in the centre of the universe as the guide for future human activity and can predict the future of mankind. I would like to pay attention to the value of "the doctrine of the middle" and practical tips on the philosophy. The measure in everything is the middle, which a man should conform to and which must be consistent with any of his manifestations. The state of equanimity and tranquility enhances clarity of thoughts and helps to understand the true causes of things. It improves the accuracy of prediction and forecast. The ability to control oneself is the best basis for managing life situations. The source of an action is associated with the conscious choice. The mental image of aim can be understood as an intensive directional source of action. The practical value of philosophical wisdom is that it contains the most correct semantic determinations that help to make the right choice. The philosophical wisdom translates and generates the programs of activity, behavior and cognition. The authority of "doktrine of the middle" is a very important practical imperative for our times. The wise man is a peculiar expert influencing decision-making processes, speaking the modern language. The subject of philosophical wisdom and the problem of choice are very relevant to contemporary Russia.
