ASSESSMENT OF THE GAS INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE CONTEXT OF ESTABLISHING INTERNAL ENERGY MARKET
Abstract
The creation of a common European Union energy market aims at creating conditions of unrestrained and flexible exchange of electricity and natural gas among Member States (MS). The aim to the article is to evaluate the condition of the gas infrastructure of EU MS in the scope of concepts of the creation of a internal gas market. The analysis of the capacity of the existing interconnectors will allow to determine the potential level of natural gas exchange among MS.In view of these facts the question regarding the scope in which the gas infrastructure of the EU member states is prepared for the free exchange of natural gas is legitimate.
