Abstract

Nowadays one of the main tasks is the ability of students to self-study due to Federal State Educational Standards 3+ in the system of Russian higher education. The proper organization of students’ self-education will promote efficient education and monitoring of level of formation of the common cultural competences set by federal standards of higher education: ???-2. One of the modern directions of the organization of self-study having high potential is the use of information and communication technologies. We have developed the electronic educational resource for self-study for students of Medical Institute of the North-Eastern federal university named after M. K. Ammosov (Yakutia, Siberia), specialization «Pharmacy» on the basis of information and communication technologies on the electronic educational platform Moodle http://yagu.s-vfu.ru/course/view.php?id=3649 Our model was based on competency based approach, activity approach, interdisciplinary approach and information-communication approach. Our electronic learning resource contains normative, theoretical, practical, diagnostic and methodical units. The normative unit includes standard program of discipline "Foreign language" (English), calendar and thematic plan. The theoretical unit contains basic grammar and glossary of plants and medicines. The practical unit is devoted to skills practice of grammar, professional vocabulary and country studies, including Yakutia’s regional component. This unit has answers to the exercises for the development of knowledge and skills of self-study. The diagnostic unit is divided into tests of current monitoring and final monitoring by Credit System and by semesters. The methodical unit helps students to work with electronic educational resources, a study guide helps to do the tasks, samples are given. In our opinion, this approach in the individual self-study of students realizes several principles: an integrity which allows carrying out the integration of professional information; a modularity - the MOODLE system has a unified structure; a cumulativeness - drawing up the different level tasks: basic level, advanced level and professional level. The offered model of the organization of self-education of students with the use of the educational MOODLE platform promotes the development of positive motivation (due to interest of the modern youth in Information and Communication Technologies), cognitivity (acquiring of knowledge from various informative resources necessary for successful formation of the common cultural and professional competences set by educational standards), activity (ability of solving tasks representing self-educational research), a reflection (ability to organize and control self-study in the electronic MOODLE system, ability to an objective assessment of your results for realization of professional tasks).
