SPECIFITIES INVOLVED IN ENTERPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN THE REGIONS RELIED ON RAW MATERIALS
Abstract
The article contains the comparative analysis of the entrepreneurship development in the resource regions. Basing on the statistic analysis of indicators, a classification of the resource regions according to the level of economic diversification (the share of processing industry) and to the level of entrepreneurship activity has been formulated. The indicators have been grouped on the level of business activity, concentration of enterprises in the industry, productivity and investment activity. The correlation analysis of the entrepreneurship development indicators has also been carried out; it has proved a hypothesis about the reliance of the economic efficiency of the resource regions and small business development on the projects of large extractive corporations. Some recommendations on how to build the economic policy to provide the development of entrepreneurship regarding each group of the resource regions has been articulated as well.
