CONTROLLING OR REDUCING STRESS THROUGH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY IN FORMAL AND NON-FORMAL ACTIVITIES
Abstract
Stress has become a growing problem, frequently encountered in everyday life. Many indulge in everyday problems, while others try to find solutions to relieve the stress caused by different responsibilities or inconveniences. The bases of the capacity to do physical exercises independently are set during the practice of formal physical education and then continued during the practice of non-formal and/or informal physical education. This study was designed to investigate the beneficial role sport and physical activity have on reducing stress and it's side effects. Methods: bibliographic documentation; Sociological investigation based on a questionnaire (self-assessment "Cohen" stress); The statistico-mathematical method and graphical representation. The research is based on the hypothesis that the involvement in a regular program of formal and non formal physical activities has a beneficial impact on the body, emphasized by the reduction of stress levels. The independent variable in this experiment was a physical fitness program for relieving stress. The dependent variable was the level of perceived stress, as perceived by the participants, as assessed by the Choen questionnaire. Results. We can conclude that the subjects had higher levels of stress on initial testing towards the final one, which shows that formal and non-formal are an efficient way to prevent and relieve stress. This activity, with deep formative implications must be understood as a solution to improve the stress levels, improve health, recreation and relaxation of the youth. Conclusion.Sport significantly influences the way stress is perceived , reducing its effects, confirming the hypothesis. This activity, with profound formative implications must be understood as a solution, for strengthening health, for the recreation and relaxation of youth. Knowledge of the individual solutions and strategies that can be used to prevent and remove negative implications of stress is necessary and current. The purpose of the present work can be considered achieved by means of its demonstration, that the sport and recreational activities reduce the stress levels.
