SPECIAL FEATURES OF ECOLOGY EDUCATION
Abstract
Currently ecology is a special scientific discipline, which is of great importance both for society as a whole and for an individual. The protection of the environment and the conservation of biological diversity on the whole planet depend significantly on the results of environmental education. The purpose of environmental education should be not only the training of future environmental specialists, but also environmental upbringing aimed at the formation of a certain ethic of attitude towards nature. This is greatly facilitated by the transition of teaching methods from traditional forms of instruction to more active and student-oriented, which develop professional skills. These forms include design work, training on the basis of practical examples (case studies), design and analytical sessions, games, group work. The use of different teaching methods depending on the specific educational situation allows you to create the most optimal conditions for the assimilation of knowledge and formation of the required competencies of students. Some methods of training which can be effectively used in teaching of ecological disciplines are considered in this article.
