THE IMPORTANCE OF REGIONAL PRODUCTS IN PROMOTING TOURISM IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Abstract
The main aim of the paper is to identify the range of regional products on offer in the Czech Republic and in individual regions based on secondary sources of data. Every region in the Czech Republic has its own unique characteristic, stemming from its natural beauties and the culture of its people. The products that come from certain areas also bear part of this character, having been created by the work of local artisans and farmers. The results of primary research will then show the preferences respondents have when buying regional brands. The author looks at the question of how regional products can increase the number of visitors to regions in the Czech Republic and how they can contribute towards competitiveness in tourism in the Czech Republic. The sense of the research is to get an overview of how tourists behave in relation to their perception of regional products.
