Abstract

In this paper we see this research goal is to methodologically provide rationalization for the study of the academic entity development dynamics, which makes it possible to disclose the university culture transformation taking place during the higher professional education modernization process. The systemic character of university culture within the regional society development is reported. University culture is considered to be a special complex of corporate culture, based on the values of professional culture, being changed when influenced by modernization. The purpose of the latter is to increase human potential in educational entities, and their central place is the professional entity of academic staff. Relying on the structural, sociocultural and resource approaches in sociology, the authors develop a system of indicators and variables of professional-value based identification of academic staff of the Russian higher education, it shows the ambiguity and inconsistency of the changes taken place, and it enables us to conclude that it is necessary to create not only mechanisms for the modernization of higher education but comprehensible information environment for teachers as a necessary element of corporate culture.
