DEVELOPING OF MOBILE MUSEUM GUIDE BASED ON BLUETOOTH-SENSORS
Abstract
A subject of this article is a museum-visitor interaction that uses modern type of communication based on information technology. We have a great chance to implement a concept of the Internet of Things in museums and other buildings due to Bluetooth Low Energy technology. The Internet of Things presents a major opportunity for a large number of user applications that promise to improve interest to exhibitions and provides extra knowledge about museum objects and a digital extension into the physical world. The article examines a range of approaches applied to museum-visitor interaction and presents a concept of special mobile application based on Bluetooth-sensors for automatically determining the current position and instantly retrieving different information about the surroundings.
