WATER AND THE INDOOR LANDSCAPE OF WATER PARKS
Abstract
The study of water landscapes involves a number of ways and methods. It has become especially important nowadays when the latest technologies and ideas on shaping water can be applied to create water parks' interiors. Water has been a key potential in the development of water parks. The article illustrates possibilities of formal solutions with the use of water in various forms, leaving it open for further research in this topic. By analysing the internal landscape of contemporary in situ water parks, the author shows the possibility of using water in such facilities now and in the future. The modern tendencies of modelling space with three states of water (solid, liquid and gas) can be included in the design practice of water parks. The occurrence of water in different forms causes on the one hand the multiplication of technical and operational issues, but, on the other hand, an increase in the number and attractiveness of visual and functional effects. Due to this, technologically advanced water space solutions have become a very important way to shape water parks' interiors.
