Abstract

The aim of the work is to evaluate the economic advantages of the application of the most frequently used energy sources for the purpose of heating administrative and office buildings in the conditions of the Czech Republic. Data for comparison are obtained from national statistics of projects and data obtained from suppliers providing energy for selected types of heating. The comparison deals with the assessment of the operating costs of administrative buildings using electric heating, central heat supply and a combination of these two sources. In the comparison, the operating and maintenance costs of the selected heating sources are compared. The aim of comparison is to optimize the cost of heating using conventional energy sources. The comparison is made on the basis of data obtained from the operation costs of existing buildings which are using selected types of energy for heating. The evaluation of the results of the individual sources and the final evaluation of economic advantages of selected sources for the heating of administrative buildings is made on the basis of acquired data. The economical total value takes into account the costs associated with the maintenance and operation of individual heating sources using technologies available in the Czech Republic.
