AGRICULTURE AND PEASANTRY IN VYATKA REGION DURING SECOND HALF OF 1930-S
Abstract
In USSR mass collectivization was a unique form of annihilation of individual peasantry as a class. During the initial period of the mass collectivization there had been a significant decrease in output of agricultural goods. Recovery of the country's agriculture was observed only from the middle of the 1930th years. The specified tendencies were characteristic and for the Vyatka region which territory, according to new administrative-territorial division, was a part of the Nizhny Novgorod (Gorky) region till December, 1934. Allocation of the Vyatka region in an independent large administrative and territorial unit – the Kirov region (since December, 1936 – the Kirov region) – chronologically coincides with the beginning of the second five-year plan and the introduction of process of collectivization in the finishing phase.
