THE PROCESS OF LAND PLANNING – METHODS AND THEORETICAL ASSUMPTIONS
Abstract
Space is the common weal. Its shaping and use are connected with the responsibility for the result, which will be our footprint for future generations. A planner takes responsibility for a future perception of their work. Their action will also have different effects for economy, business and society. These aspects shape our daily living, influence its standard, connected not only with economy, but also with an aesthetic perception and the feeling of safety. Preparing planning studies consists in establishing the boundaries of the area covered by the development and carrying out tests that will allow to diagnose existing problems. In order to solve these problems, development should be properly anticipated and shaped. In the literature there are many interesting items which instruct and guide how to solve different questions of creating environment. The authors describe the methods and principles which are to be followed. The present paper shows different approaches to the issue of designing spaces according to the principles of sustainable development.
