INTERPRETATION IN THE MUSIC PERFORMING ART IN GENDER VIEW
Abstract
If we talk about great musicians, usually men's names are remembered, not women. Only musicologists can name some musician-women, who have got be successful performers in the world stage. In common view men are thought to be as creators and women – executors of something men intended. Question of duality of artistic interpretation in music performing art is considered in gender categories of logic, ratio, emotion and sensitive. Analysis of critical articles devoted to musicians' performing art reveals prejudice in favor of men creativeness.
