CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL HERITAGE IN THE SOCIO-CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT OF A PROVINCIAL TOWN
Abstract
A significant increase in interest to the cultural heritage of the province and its regional features can be noted in today's socio-cultural space. It†s worth to notice that socio-cultural development of some regions of our country also has a considerable influence on the issue. At the moment, different ethnic groups, social groups and individuals are showing increased interest in self-identification, which is only possible when referring to their cultural heritage. The scientific novelty of this study includes revealing the relationship between cultural heritage and the living environment, study of the features and functions of provincial culture and raising the question of the problem of preserving the cultural heritage of small cities of Russia. Additionally, the concepts of "socio-cultural space" and "cultural heritage" have been disclosed in the interpretation of various scientists.
