USING CASE METHOD TO DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE IN ECOLOGICAL EDUCATION

Abstract

Higher education plays an important role in the formation of an environmentally literate society. Currently, federal state educational standards in the Russian system of higher education presuppose the development of general, professional and special competencies among university students. The new paradigm of higher education makes it necessary to look for new teaching practices, in particular, to use active and interactive technologies in the educational process. Fallowing these ideas, the carrying out of educational expeditionary studies has changed significantly. There is a need to change the standard approaches to conducting classes and excursions and introducing new methods and techniques. The purpose of this work is to analyze introducing of one of such methods into the educational process, the Case method. Case-method as a form of learning and activation of the learning process allows to develop professional competencies successfully. The use of innovative methods in the course of the training practice contributes to the formation of the professional skills and skills of the students to make independent decisions on a specific area of work in real conditions by fulfilling various duties which inherent in future professional, organizational, managerial and public activities.
