PROJECT BASED TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHER TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT STUDY

Abstract

Adult education requires a special approach to learning material delivery as it targets practical life skills andknowledge. Currently teachers have started widely using various project based case studies. That is why the question "What should an andragogy instructor pay attention to when teaching project -based technology?" is very critical today. The purpose of this study was to define specific characteristics of a project based technology in teacher training. We believe that within the framework of the acmeological approach a project based activity is defined as an orientation towardsprofessional achievements by completing certain tasks and achieving resultsas a final product. The article gives a brief review of the concept "project technology"based on variousresearches and studies, shows a process of a project based learning.Some specific features of the adult education have been determined on the basis of the following principles: activeness,practicalityorientation, creativity, representation. The specific features are as follows: theoretical preparation on the basis ofthe practical material; reflexive component that allows teacherstore-evaluate their professionalexperience ( we believe that thereflection over completed work and final results helps the teacher evaluate the gained knowledge and translate it into his/her professional experience); promotion of positive emotions from achieved concreteresultsupon completing any project. In conclusion, in adult education the didactic focus isshifted to practicality and reflection in a group setting.
