Abstract

A new theoretical and methodological approach is proposed for an interpretation essence and a tool for evaluating the competitiveness of the graduate. Meaningful signs of competitiveness are the process by which a subject of labor is able to compete and the outcome of this ability in a competitive labor market. The purpose of the work is to identify the impact (how close the ties between the elements are) of the elements responsible for forming competition abilities on the resulting value-the level of gain. When analyzing the indicators that describe the employment parameters, it is assumed that the observed structure of the relationships between them is due to the influence of hidden (latent) factors. Latent factors are divided into secondary (subordinate) ones, which include dominant groups of employment parameters and the highest level factor-the competitiveness of the graduate. The technique of hierarchical factor analysis is used to highlight the resulting factor. As a result, a set of relevant and sufficient factors is justified, which determine the causality of competition for better jobs at the rate of which the subject of labor is able to compete, and the new way in which variables are aggregated for each factor into a single resulting value, i.e. the level of competitiveness of the graduate. The set of identified variables allows developing recourse-efficient monitoring, competitiveness, since all included variables have a significant relationship with the resulting value. The proposed concept and methodology of competitiveness diagnostics can be used to analyze the power of influences from different market and educational environments, as well as to diagnose the impact of a worker's ability to compete on the level of competitiveness of the graduates.
