Abstract

One of urgent problems on the way to society humanization is the society tolerance to various groups of population. The article deals with the point of the school community tolerance towards the children with disabilities. The authors carried out the sociological research in the school community of Krasnoyarsk. The research purpose was to identify the school community attitude to the joint teaching of the ordinary children and children with disabilities. The research was done by on-line questioning as well as interviewing of the teachers, pupils and their parents. 311 respondents of 23 schools of Krasnoyarsk took part in the research. During research, it was revealed that despite high level of knowledge of inclusive education, level of social tolerance in school community is at rather low level. The expressed attitude to inclusive training is mostly negative. The probability of the conflicts in childrens collective is estimated as high. The support system is insufficiently developed. The majority of respondents note that inclusive education can negatively affect both healthy children, and children with disabilities what also reduces the social tolerance. Basing on the research results, the most important areas of work for the social tolerance level increase in school community of Krasnoyarsk have been outlined. They include formation of humane position of school students in relation to children with disabilities, directed at formation of positive image of a child with disabilities; improvement of system of psychological and pedagogical and medico-social support of educational process for children with disabilities in the conditions of inclusive education; tolerance education programs development for schools.
