THE PERCEPTION OF THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS CONCERNING THE USE OF THE AUDIOVISUAL TECHNOLOGIES IN SHAPING THE MOTOR SKILLS
Abstract
The study aims to investigate the perception of the physical education teachers concerning the use of the audiovisual technologies in shaping the motor skills. This transversal research took place during the period 2009-2010 in schools of the urban and rural area. The use of the audiovisual technologies in order to optimize and improve the efficiency of the practice of physical exercises, and of the shaping of sports habits, was the subject of the elaboration and application of a survey addressed to the specialists in the domain of physical education and sport. The questionnaire was filled in by 298 teachers of physical education of the urban and rural area. In point of the perception of the use of the audiovisual technologies, 62.95% of the respondents appreciate that they are useful for realizing the objectives and the contents of physical education at all school levels; 27.05% consider that they would attain their goal only in the lower secondary school; 6% consider them efficient for the improvement of sport-related skills and habits in high school; and 4% of the respondents refer to the physical education in primary schools. We consider that the qualitative level, the efficiency and the persistence of the knowledge transmission, of the shaping and of the acquiring of the competencies and aptitudes specific for the domain approached, of the positive attitudes towards the role and importance of exercise in the evolution of each one of us, remain an essential topic for each lesson and implicitly for each physical education teacher or sports trainer.
