RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INTERNAL COMMUNICATION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CLIMATE IN THE ORGANIZATION X

Abstract

Rapidly changing environment and intercommunication is becoming an increasingly important topic of large organizations business strategy choice. Calahane et al. [1] on organization climate research has stated that the organizational climate is the individual's collective perception in the common system of the work environment and the framework. Today's business leaders require high flexibility, agility and responsiveness what builds organization`s psychological climate. Kurt T. Dirk and Donald L. Ferrin [2] meta-analysis study states the concept of „trust between individuals”, described as the most important element. It may promote cooperation, motivate, develop competence, to improve the exchange of knowledge and innovations. Kouzes and Posner [5] found that 25% of the leader's behaviour constitutes employees to be more productive and motivates them more effectively to fulfil the obligations in their work places. Meanwhile, trust promotion increases manager’s effectivity, as the trust is one of the essential conditions in Leader/Member Exchange. Company Ltd. “X” is a leading fuel retailer with more than 100 years of experience in the sector. The study aims to determine the relationship between the employees’ mutual communication, the internal flow of information and psychological climate in the company. Following research questions are set out in the study: What is the “X” Ltd. internal communication and psychological climate like? Is there a statistically significant relationship between the internal communication and psychological climate in the “X” Ltd.?
