THE SOCIETY AND THE RIGHT TO PRIVATE PROPERTY
Abstract
The efforts to improve the people's living conditions are effective only if they have, as a solid foundation, the citizen's right to private property. This property, even if it can be obtained through inheritance or donation, however, usually is obtained through his work by each person within family, professional associations or labour groups. The purpose whereon the man proposes, as a result of its activities, is the private property, the fruit of his labour. The worker, investing its forces and capabilities in the work process, intends to procure the necessaries for life. Through his work, he acquires the natural right to request, and also to use at will the due reward. To the family, considered as true and earlier institution of any civil society, must be recognized certain rights and obligations which it has in its nature, and the State is obliged to guarantee and defend them. The public authorities are obliged to watch carefully so that no restriction of freedom and no burden imposed to the personal action to not injure the human dignity, thus guaranteeing the effective exercise of human rights, among them including the right to private property.
