CIVIL PROTECTION PREPAREDNESS AGAINST EPIDEMIC AND PANDEMIC RISK
Abstract
The mission of civil protection is, to the extent stipulated by the Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic no. 42/1994 Coll. on civil protection to protect life, health and property and to create the conditions for survival in the event of an emergency and during a declared emergency. EU Member States have committed themselves to exchanging information on various infectious diseases. The programs of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control in this regard support the development of specific EU procedures, as well as their implementation, monitoring and evaluation. ECDC has developed a secure web-based communication platform, which allows for the international exchange of technical information and early warning of infectious disease epidemics, to help identify and respond rapidly to infectious disease threats. The current own plan of anti-epidemic measures, which defines precise procedures and responsibilities in the period before and during the epidemic. The plan of anti-epidemic measures became one of the most important documents and strategies for every municipality, company, regardless of its size or area of operation. A pandemic plan (documentation) for public health solutions prepared in accordance with special regulations, the law may also be used to draw up a plan for anti- epidemic measures. no. 355/2007 Coll. on the protection, support and development of public health and on the amendment of certain laws due to the declaration of an emergency situation in the territory of the Slovak Republic by the Government of the Slovak Republic
