Abstract

Wisdom relates to experienced difficult life situations from which one comes out as someone capable of sharing the learned and experienced lessons with other people and able to help other people based on his or her previous experience. Wisdom tops peopleВ’s list of values and desired personality traits. In psychotherapy, acquiring wisdom is one of the most desired objectives. In development psychology, achieving wisdom is considered to be the peak of maturation. Wisdom is related to feeling good or bad. Wisdom affects oneВ’s direction in life; it gives life meaning. Wisdom is also the ability to distinguish between substantial and irrelevant matters and to look at the situations in life (particularly the complicated ones) critically.
