Abstract

Does humanity need certain norms and morals of life, rules of behavior, prohibitions? Why are they needed? These questions always remain controversial and open. Each ethnic group has its own specific moral norms, prohibitions, views on ethical principles, sometimes incomprehensible to others. This paper reveals the traditional ethical norms of the Sakha people behavior, to try to answer to stated above eternal questions. Authors consider a prohibition in traditional culture, based on the religious views of the Sakha people. Moral prohibitions related to religious and ethical norms regulate everyday life in any traditional society. Magic taboos include certain words (taboo words), actions, certain types of food, etc. All of these were considered in the historical and ethnographic foreshortening. It is known that ritual culture of Sakha people has the traces of influence of the Turkic-Mongolian culture of Southern Siberia and Central Asia. This is especially reflected in the rites of the life and calendar-economic cycle. The similarity of some aspects of the taboo culture is not in doubt, but Sakha people has established its own magic taboos, that are characterized by the local, original features and affected by natural components of the region (landscape culture). The prohibitive regulators more likely fulfill the apotropic function. They were set up by the people and some of them lost their original meaning with the passage of time.
