Abstract

In the most general understanding it is possible to say that service is a tool, manner, method of policy and practical application of the interests of the society towards the people that are dependent on certain type of care or assistance. The dignity of personal identity means that every person with reduced self-sufficiency has the right to choose your own way of life. Social services play an important role in human life. Social services are one of the following options for helping people in adverse social situations. Through them, the state supports the social inclusion of citizens and meeting the social needs of people in an unfavorable social situation. Social services aim at preventing, addressing or mitigating the adverse social situation of an individual, family or community. They also aim at preserving, restoring or developing the individual's ability to lead an independent life, promoting the individual's integration into society.
