TENETS OF CHRISTIAN ETHICS PROJECTED TO MARITAL RELATIONSHIPS
Abstract
Some principles of the Christian ethics, that are included in the traditional cardinal virtues, have their assertions also in the marital relationships. These are created by concrete person, who has the obligation, to according to his possibilities, present the values, which will benefit not only him, but also the other members of the community. The study, by deductive method, applies the cardinal virtues – justness, tameness, moral power and deliberateness – to the life of marital partners, who try to implement the tenets of Christian ethics into their relationship, whereas it keeps in view their other relationships – to children, wider relatives, as well as to society itself. At the same time, it builds on the basic supposition, that it is the monogamous matrimony between man and woman. The study is another report to wide discussion, which has been passing in many countries of Europe, as well as Northern America, about the value of partnership co-living, about so called crisis of the traditional matrimony, about ethical and moral values, that commit to this matter.
