Abstract

The paper is devoted to insufficient pre-university IT teaching that is considered a problem in Russian education. The paper examines some issues in school computer science course in the context of informatization of society and new requirements for the orientation in the information space. The authors have been conducting a survey and entry testing of students for several years. First-year students of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance KFU participated in the study. The article presents the results of surveys conducted by the authors.
