THE MAIN TRENDS IN DEVELOPING MIGRATION PROCESSES IN THE WORLD

Abstract

This article considers the main trends in developing migration processes in developed countries as well as social and economic consequences for developed countries. It shows the specificities of national governance practices, which have a particular impact on the migration policy. In article the international labor migration as economic category is considered. Nowdays migration regulation policy in particular countries is confronting new challenges of continuously changing environment; and, consequently, today governmental migration policy is impossible without its coordination and collaboration with international organisations and supranational bodies. Given the uniqueness of phenomenon, migration state policy exploration within the framework of member states of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is gaining more and more topicality. The main concepts studying migration from an economy position are analyzed. Economic benefits and costs of migration for the countries of departure and the countries of entrance are characterized.
