CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: THE NEW ROLE AND RESEARCH APPROACHES
Abstract
The article is based on the results of research work devoted to the problems of corporate social responsibility which over time undergoes significant changes in accordance with the expectations of society. The classic interpretation of the creation of a "shared (common)" value for business and society is the antithesis of corporate philanthropy on the distribution of value previously generated by the business. According to the authors, companies can create both economic and social value in three ways: by rethinking products and markets, review of productivity in the supply chain and construction subsidiary of industrial clusters in the locations of operating companies, where each cluster is part of a chain total cost. Increasing the value in one area gives you the opportunity to improve in other areas. We are talking about enhancing the competitiveness of the company through adherence to the principles of corporate social responsibility. This approach more than traditional approaches identifies the need to integrate corporate social responsibility into the strategy of the company. The trend in the implementation of corporate social responsibility in Russia is the shift from considering it as a voluntary action taken by companies over and above the statutory minimum, to consider CSR as the obligations towards the stakeholders, the need for dialogue with stakeholders.
