MIGRATION ACTIVITY OF THE POPULATION IN RUSSIA: ANALYSIS OF THE EXISTING INFORMATION BASE
Abstract
A comprehensive and detailed description of the impact of the migration movement of the population on the socio-economic situation cannot be achieved without statistical indicators that quantify the phenomena and processes associated with the territorial movements of people. In this context, it is necessary to note the specifics of the situation. On the surface, a more or less digestible system of indicators of population migration statistics was formed, which is widely used in practice. The overwhelming majority of scientists, specialists and practitioners frankly agree with the understanding that, depending on the form of representation, the indicators of migration processes are divided into absolute and relative indicators. Also, there is no serious objection to the approach aimed at the fact that, depending on the content, the indicators of migration processes break up into indicators of scale, structure, intensity, effectiveness, etc. As an example of a special system of indicators that is oriented towards taking into account the migration attractiveness of individual states, the point of view of V.A. Modenov and A.G. Nosov [1], who emphasizes the index of anthropogenic load, the coefficient of population solvability, the maximum migration capacity of the territory and other parameters. However, it is striking that many of the indicators proposed and already used can only indirectly judge the role of the migration movement of the population in shaping the social and economic situation. In this regard, we have to say that we still have to create a system of statistical indicators that could give a comprehensive description of the impact of territorial movements of people on the public situation.
