THE MAIN CHALLENGES OF THE CENTRALIZED ADMISSION CAMPAIGN IN RUSSIAN UNIVERSITIES
Abstract
The article suggests solutions to the problems that may arise in the practical implementation of a new approach to the distribution of state-funded places among the universities, subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the competition among the applicants. These problems include the excess of educational organization material resources with a sharp increase in the number of applicants recommended for enrollment; the mechanisms for taking into account additional creative and (or) professional admission tests, the results of status school Olympiads, the selection of persons entitled to be admitted within the special quota, selection of employer-sponsored applicants, taking into account the individual achievements of applicants, selection of applicants for Master and Post-graduate degree programs, selection of persons eligible to take admission tests in the form determined by the universities independently. Approaches to solving the above problems, which can be implemented in modern Russian conditions are proposed.
