Abstract

Intercultural communication terms based on analysis of some research works done in the field of linguistic and cultural studies. A thesaurus-type dictionary was chosen for the description and presentation of the basic Intercultural Communication (ICC) concepts. The structure of the dictionary entry allows presenting the described system of terms as a semantic system of items which are organized by regular semantic relations. Lexicographic description consists of two parts: - The first part gives information about the term as a lexeme. There is information about number, and meaning of the term. In addition, there are also examples with the term, i.e. quotations from linguistic works that define the main features of the term. - The second part of the dictionary entry presents the term as a member of the term system. For that reason the author applies the model of the thesaurus, i.e. some of the main semantic relations (thesaurus functions), e.g. synonyms, quasi-synonyms, correlatives, hypernym-hyponym, whole-part, etc., are explicitly presented.
