Th is study aimed to explore the possibilities of social integration of young people who leave placement centers in Romania and especially their perceptions of their chances of social integration. To achieve the objective we selected 24 young peopl e leaving placement centers or are about to leave. As a research method, we used the sociological survey based on the interview technique to learn and interpret in depth the data necessary for the research. The technique used is the interview, semi semi-structured, of dep depth applied face to face. We chose the questions in the interview guide to address the following issues: the period of institutionalization; reasons which led institutionalization; advantages / disadvantages of institutionalization; society 's attitude towar towards youth insti tutionalization; perception of institutionalized young people about their future ; opportunities offered by society to socio socio-professional integration of young came from placement centers. Young people who leave placement centres are rarely su supported by family and the lack of independent living skills makes their socio socio-professional integration becomes difficult difficult.
