SOCIAL STATE AS AN ASPECT OF SOCIAL POLICY

Abstract

Social policy is an inherent part of the system of each developed country. It regulates and manages the different social elements in society, determines the size and scope of social protection, forms future goals and aims, acts against disintegration processes, creates favorable living conditions, shapes the social, health, educational, working and protective environment for all citizens. The social policy is directly linked to the economic capabilities of a country, taking into account moral principles, culture, philosophy, social traditions or established normative processes. The current demand for social policy performance highlights not only performance through the state and its institutions, but also increasing involvement of organizations and enterprises employing people, enabling the realization of social policy already at work. The importance of such cooperation will ensure more complex personal development and quality of life for employees, basically influencing the process factors within the social policy. In general, it can be said that social policy is determined primarily by the environment in which it is carried out. In this context, therefore, in the present paper, we focus primarily on the social state as one of the most important determinants of social policy in the central Europe. Methodologically, we approach the subject mainly through a constructive and critical analysis of the current state.
