Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the axiological sphere of students. The thematic justification of the professional and value orientations of young people within the framework of sociological and social-psychological approaches to the study of student youth is determined firstly by the importance of the processes of reproduction of human capital, labor and social resources for society, and secondly by the special importance of axiological components in the structure of professional orientation of students. Nowadays the concepts of "success", "self-efficacy" and "professional self-realization" are semantic which define behavior of the majority of socially active individuals. The value of professional and life success in modern society are viewed by sociologists simultaneously both as a social reference point and as a target reference point associated with self-realization of an individual which requires the use of both sociological and psychological approaches in their research. The article examines the specificity of youth problems in sociological research; the concept "professionally valuable sphere" is specified. Empirical data make for the result of the study of the professional value sphere of youth, the ideas of student youth about professional and life success. The research allowed to identify the priority values of respondents among the student youth and to determine the place of professional values in the integral structure of instrumental and terminal values. Conceptions of success in life and the attitude of students toward education as setting stage of entering the profession reckoned among the factors that influence the character of professional expectations, the awareness of professional life prospects and attitude toward the profession as a terminal, semantic value. Studies of the nature and content of professional orientations and values of students, according to the authors, can become the basis for predicting the success of socialization of student youth in the professional sphere.
