SELF-SAFE ATTITUDES OF THE POPULATION OF RUSSIA (ON THE RESULTS OF EMPIRICAL STUDY)
Abstract
This article is devoted to the issue of self-safe behavior of Russians. The importance of research of ageing process of the nation and the right of citizens to a long and qualitative life expectancy are explained. The results of study of Russians’ attitudes towards the maintenance of their own health and prolongation of life are discussed. The research brings us to the conclusion that there is a national problem of declarativity of self-safe attitudes which are not proved by real activities. The combination of external factors of imperfection of social and healthcare systems and low responsibility for individual life strategy offers an explanation for the difference of life expectancy rate in Russia and in well-developed European countries.
