SMART BUILDING DESIGN - TRENDS AND OPPORTUNITIES IN ISSUES OF THE WATER
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to apply parts from the technique of value analysis in the area of architectural engineering, trying to answer to the opportunity of using new solutions in water management of a smart building still from the conceptual phase of designing. To reach this issue were used various methodologies and tools as: scientific method, tree diagram, Computer Aided Design (REVIT software student, AutoCAD2017 student). Through a careful analyse of collected data, the paper indentifies trends and opportunities related to the possibilities of managing and reusing the rain water in modern built environment according with architectural demands. The specific objectives of this stage are: 1. a better understanding of the nature of the opportunities related to use smart rain gutter systems; 2. better understand the nature of the relationship between architectural concept and technical design; 3. provide data about numerical calculation of the rain gutter system. Finally, the results of these considerations will be applied, as a case study, in the concept of a smart collective dwelling. The features of this building are: modularity, transparency, fluidity and dynamicity for a future adaptability to sustainable transformations. The impact of this research involved few positive aspects: elaborate a thinking scenario regarding the attributes of smart building and used technologies, transfer the methods of study between two areas: architecture and engineering and even encourage the customers to be familiarized of each principle before embarking to choose a dwelling.
