ELEMENTS OF PRECISION FARMING IN FORAGE PRODUCTION USING GEOINFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract
Runaway increase of prices for combustive-lubricating materials, mineral fertilizers, agricultural machines, intensification of competition between commodity producers of livestock products require new approaches in the issues of forage production at low cost, including the productivity of hayfields and pastures subject to variability of habitat of plants inside fields. In this regard, article discusses promising areas of application of GIS technologies in agriculture, which allows to solve topical issues of agriculture not only in Tatar Republic and the Russian Federation as a whole. Proposed technology provides differentiated application of mineral fertilizers, in order to optimize placement of seeds of perennial grasses in a soil space, to completely eliminate skips and overlaps when adjacent passes of the aggregates, which ultimately leads to a saving of seed, fertilizer, chemicals and fuel and lubricants.
