METHODS FOR LASER SCANNING DATA PROCESSING
Abstract
Advanced design methods using the building information model can be applied also in the process of building renovation. Three-dimensional scanning of the existing site situation by 3D scanner significantly streamlines data collection work. The problem is automated digitization of large amounts of data, and their representation. Automated transcription of the collected data cloud into the elements such as wall, floor, ceiling or window still requires consuming manual composition. Article examines possible solutions and methods of automation of this process.
