THE SEVERAL REMARKS ON CONTROVERSY ABOUT THE CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASING ECONOMIC INEQUALITY ON THE EARLY 21ST CENTURY.
Abstract
Increasing economic inequality in a relatively short period is not an isolated phenomenon of some countries, respectively regions, but it is a generally accepted phenomenon of beginning of the 21st century. This phenomenon raises the attention not only of scientists from different fields as well as politicians, policy-makers and citizens worldwide. On various forums and at different levels, are discussed questions relating to the need for identification of purposes as well as of economic and non-economic consequences of the increasing concentration of income and wealth in the hands of the minority elite, respectively in the hands of the super - rich households. The aim of the article is based on the generalization of knowledge from numerous polemics about the causes and consequences enormously growing economic inequality on the early 21st century to identify the most serious economic and non-economic contexts, and on this basis, then to specify the desirable corrections in access to economic inequality. Another objective is to verify the hypothesis that enormous concentration of income and wealth in the hands of minor elite is not an ideal basis for ensuring increasing economic efficiency, competitiveness and greater prosperity in national, regional and global context. Ensuring aims foresees the use of methods of scientific abstraction, scientific analysis and scientific synthesis. By applying of a multidisciplinary and multidimensional approach to economic inequality is scope for a more comprehensive and more realistic identification of the status quo, but especially for the elimination of unilateral view on one from the major global risks of present.
