Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify the features and trends of the migratory intentions of modern Russian students, caused by revolutionary changes in the education system. The authors rely on the theory of academic revolution, globalization and transparency of education, global circulation of talents, etc. Methods of research were the analysis of data from sociological research, social and statistical data, and a mass survey of students of several universities in the Urals. As a result of the analysis it was found that the highest degree of migratory moods are manifested in those people who receive or already have a higher education, Migratory moods of the russian students reflect the intentions of younger generations to migration territorial mobility. The inhabitants of large cities and students of prestigious universities these intentions are expressed more clearly and are built into their life strategies: they are already prefer to maintain real and virtual connections with colleagues, friends and relatives abroad, counting on so called adaptation "pillow" in case of migration from Russia. The most attractive are the countries of Western Europe and the United States, however, as the most real places are more often referred to the former republics of the USSR. The limitations in academic mobility are ignorance of the language, fear of loneliness and unwillingness to leave the family. Despite a slight decline in the desire to migrate abroad to permanent residence with professional employment, at the same time, there is an increased interest in temporary migration: in the form of educational projects, temporary employment and so on.
