ORGANIZATION OF STUDENTS' RESEARCH ACTIVITY: ON THE BORDER BETWEEN THE MOTIVATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL AND SOCIETY'S EXPECTATIONS

Abstract

According to the Rssian tradition, an activity is regarded as a purposeful activity which implements the needs of the person. Soviet scientists while exploring the human in all aspects of the life, have come to realize that the activity itself, the conditions for its implementation, implements, etc. have a strong impact on both physical and mental health. The activities of the students as the subjects of the educational process have their own characteristics. On the one hand, in activity the students realize their own motives, they show their individual characteristics, set their own goals. On the other hand, the educational activities of students are organized in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the curriculum and the charter of the educational institution. There is a process of integration of the student's individual aspirations regarding the development and the requirements of the society, associated with the preparation of a qualified professional. These days much attention is paid to the students' research activity because it has the potential of personal and professional development. The formation of the individual style of research is the field that is able to combine the personal motives and public expectations. Thus, the main problem of our research was formulated as follows: which individual styles of research activities are the students characterised and what style is the most effective in the system of training professionals? Different styles of students' research activity are based on the natural requirements to knowledge, and with time they are transformed under the influence of the educational environment. Obviously the "active style" research is considered to be more productive in terms of professional training. At the same time, the "passive style" has the potential of students' research activity, subject to some changes in the organisation of research activity.
