THE RISKS AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SELECTED HOTEL FACILITY IN THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC APPLYING ENTERPRISE RISK MODEL
Abstract
The article is the result of scientific - research activities focusing on preparation of models for streamlining solutions and forecasting financial risk of business entities. In more detail we have been focused on the processing of in-company risks, but also the impact of the external environment of risks. The aim of this paper is to analyze the impact of selected risks on the performance of the hotel facility with the application of mathematical - statistical methods. To achieve the aim of the article were processed secondary data selected Slovak hotel facility. Determined the problem was solved by analyzing the most significant risks introduced into valuation methods of the cost of equity capital. Using the scoring method, the values of risks and performance indicators converted into point evaluation. On the basis of the evaluation was constructed enterprise risk model, there is development recorded of performance, which are determined risks. We have found that the risks are a major factor affecting the business performance. Risks of the country, the market where the undertaking operates and the sectors are more objective inputs for evaluating the costs of equity, as in-company risks. The benefit of article is the enterprise risk model which is focused on the performance. In the future, on the results of this article, this research may be implemented on a bigger sample of hotel facilities and carry out the generalization risk impact on the area of business. Important for the future is also the possibility processing of the results achieved into models of early warning for hotel facilities which will predict the development of risks and performance.
