IMPACT OF POSTURAL RE-EDUCATION EXERCISE ON CHILDREN WITH SCOLIOSIS – A CASE STUDY
Abstract
Introduction. Lack of physical activity daily life of adolescents, along with the adoption of incorrect posture on desk or playing video games can lead to the emergence of poor attitudes that can turn into physical impairments. Method. Two pupils (aged 12), diagnosed with scoliosis in S followed for 5 weeks, 2 times per week rehabilitation programs with specific exercises GPR (global postural re-education). Their posture was determined using a professional Global Postural System. We've photo subjects from the anterior, posterior and lateral view based on specific anatomical some markers placed on points. Postural analysis points studied were ascertained for head, shoulders, ribcage and hip/pelvis. The Assessments were made before and after our practical intervention. Results. After the working program, the subjects' posture improved especially regarding the asymmetry of the shoulders and the head tilled left. Conclusions. This study emphasizes the importance of the posture investigation and act timely on correcting a bad posture and the impact of Global Postural Re-education means on rehabilitate the postural deficiencies.
