SUPPORTING THE INTERNATIONALIZATION OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the methods supporting the internationalization of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the Czech Republic. The SME sector in this country is identified, and the methods used in this country to support internationalization are presented. The article assumes that supporting small and medium-sized enterprises is crucial for the success of the internationalization process. Currently, the foundations of the modern economy are companies from the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises - they constitute 99% of all EU enterprises. This was highlighted by the Commission of the European Communities in the Small Business Act for Europe, which aims to improve the political approach to entrepreneurship. Thanks to this approach, enterprises have the chance to exist not only on the domestic market but also abroad. The research method used in the study is the method of examining documents. Czech business entities are increasingly interested in participating in the international market. This tendency is growing, and the reasons for this are the impact of globalization on companies and countries and the expansion of the scope of activities to export, production and sales.
