THE CONCEPT OF SACREDNESS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE LANGUAGE SITUATION IN GERMANY. THE FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM.
Abstract
The article discusses the transformation of the concepts of sacredness in the context of the changing linguistic situation in Germany, due to specific historical conditions and the specificity of the German form of Protestantism. The formulation of commonlinguistic norm, prepared by the writings of Luther, accompanied the emergence of the German version of Christianity and caused the especial importance of national content. Exploring the series of events with the greatest impact on the development of axiological scheme of German Protestantism, the authors note the close interdependence of the functions of religious and political institutions in German history of modern times that led to the sacralization of the political institution of the monarchy to the detriment of the religious institution of the Church. For the Genesis of Protestantism was characterized a gradual transfer of the functions of religious authorization to the carriers of political power that was actively used by the Prussian and German monarchs, and had evolved in the context of German democracy to a clerical Christian parties. Analyzing the language policy known as the В«leading cultureВ» [Leitkultur] of the ruling political bloc of the CDU/CSU, the authors emphasize its focus on maintaining stability, overcome the confrontation on linguistic and cultural-religious grounds and see this as a logical continuation of the development of the German version of Christianity, in the form of Lutheranism, initially focused on the positive political activities.
